2021: ROC = Russian Olympic Committee athletes at the 2020 Summer Olympics; This is the outcome of a decision by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on 9 December 2019 banning Russia from all international sport for four years,
after it was found that data provided by the Russian Anti-Doping Agency had been manipulated by Russian authorities with a goal of protecting athletes involved in its state-sponsored doping scheme. As at the 2018 Winter Olympics,
WADA would allow individual cleared Russian athletes to compete neutrally under a title to be determined (which may not include the name „Russia‟, unlike the use of „Olympic Athletes from Russia‟ in 2018).

better scores as a „hit‟ for 1 point and anything lower scores as a „miss‟ for 0 points. The final featured 8 series of 5 shots each (5 points maximum per series, 40 points maximum total).
However, starting with the fourth series, the remaining shooter with the lowest total was eliminated after each series (5 shooters remaining in the fifth series, 4 in the sixth, 3 in the seventh,
and only 2 in the eighth and final series).

five shots. The sum of the target-hits scored decided about the

fought for the gold medal, while the third and fourth - for the

The final featured 10 series of 5 shots each (5 points maximum per series, 40 points maximum total). However, starting with the fourth series, the remaining shooter with the
lowest total was eliminated after each series (7 shooters remaining in the fifth series, 6 in the sixth, etc.). Ties were decided by 5 shot series until the tie is broken.

The ISSF World Cup was introduced in 1986 to provide a homogeneous
system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It still
is carried out in the Olympic shooting events, with four competitions
per year in each event. For the best shooters there is a World Cup Final
since 1988 (1988 - 2004 always together with running target).
To the Finals, the following shooters are qualified:
- The defending Olympic, World, ISSF World Cup Final champions.
- Silver and Bronze medalists of either the last Olympic or the
World Championship, whichever competition that was most recently held.
- The eight shooters that have made the best performances at the
World Cup competitions during the year. For rating the performances, a
special score system is used by taking into account of both the rank
and the score achieved in the competitions.
- As many as two shooters can be nominated by the host country to
compete in two of the World Cup Final events if no one from the host
country qualifies.

1990: Ties were decided first by the total of the final.
2013 - 2015: The top 8 shooters in the qualifying round moved on to
the semifinal, qualifying scores did not carry over to the final
rounds. In the semi-finals, every competitor had five series of
five shots. The sum of the target-hits scored decided about the
medal games. A table was established where the first and second
fought for the gold medal, while the third and fourth - for the
bronze medal. In the gold and bronze medal matches the winners of
each five shot series got 2 match points (in case of a tie 1 match
point each). The medal match ended when the first shooter achieved
7 match points. The gap between the match points of both shooters
has to be 2 at minimum. If not the medal shooting will prolong.
Since 2016: The top 8 shooters in the qualifying round moved on to
the final round, qualifying scores did not carry over to the final.
The (rapid fire shooting) final switched to a „hit-or-miss‟ system,
where a 9.7 or better scores as a „hit‟ for 1 point and anything
lower scores as a „miss‟ for 0 points. The final featured 10 series
of 5 shots each (5 points maximum per series, 40 points maximum
total). However, starting with the fourth series, the remaining
shooter with the lowest total was eliminated after each series (7
shooters remaining in the fifth series, 6 in the sixth, etc.). Ties
were decided by 5 shot series until the tie is broken.

the final round without taking into account the qualification
scores. There, they fired additional (max. 20) shots. Every second
shot the lowest ranked shooter is eliminated beginning from shot 8.
All these final shots were in decimal scores.

fired 40 shots) moved on to the final round without taking into
account the qualification scores. There, they fired additional
(max. 48, every shooter 24) shots. Every forth shot the

2019: The top 8 mixed teams in the qualifying round 1 (every shooter
fired 30 shots) moved on to the qualifying round 2 (Scores of the
previous rounds did not carry over to the next rounds.) In the
qualifying round 2, every pair had 40 shots again. The first and
second ranked pair fought for the gold medal, while the third and
fourth - for the bronze medal. In the gold and bronze medal matches
each team member had a single shot in each round. The team with the
highest combined score in each round, compared against the other
team in the match, wins two match points. In case of equal scores
each team receives one match point. The first pair to reach 16
points or more will be declared the winner of the match. If there
is a tie of both teams having 16 match points, the match will
prolong with additional rounds until the tie is broken. All shots
